The Kings & Queens of Africa event is one of the most unique cultural events that embraces the power of tradition, education, and celebration. This event promotes the achievements and contributions of Africans and people of African descent through art, music, theater, fashion, design, dance, drumming, spoken word, comedy, and storytelling from various communities and backgrounds fostering unity and celebrate the beauty of diversity.

Location: UDC Theater of the Arts Auditorium, Building 46 West – The University of the District of Columbia - 4200 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008.
This extraordinary celebration is one way of sharing history, culture and traditions with our brothers and sisters that we have been Kings and Queens for generations and generations.
The event will honor the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and contributions of African royalty. It promises to be an inspiring gathering featuring distinguished guests, enlightening presentations, cultural performances, and opportunities for networking with DMV residents, community leaders, visitors, celebrities, and dignitaries from across the African continent and the African diaspora.
The event line-up includes workshops, art exhibits, vendor expo, interviews, auction, red carpet entrance, VIP reception, fashion show and a grand finale event. It will showcase the work of emerging boutique designers, fashion student designers, music & dance student performers, international designers, musicians, runway models from the DC Metropolitan Area.
